Frequently Asked Questions - Convert Anything to HTML

Is cross-browser incompatibility really a problem?

Yes, a simple web page is likely to display on all browsers without problems but the appearance may differ slightly on various browsers. A web page having HTML code may fail on some browsers if it is not properly coded and thoroughly tested. We are aware of these problems and ensure that code avoids most of them. We use CSS style sheets to ensure a robust, maintainable layout and test sites on multiple browsers to be sure they work properly.

Will annotated screenshots help in clarifying my requirement?

Yes, annotated screen shots are one of the most effective tools for the getting the finished product out. They significantly help in speeding up the process. Here is how you go about it:

You take a screenshot by pressing ALT+PrtScrn on the keyboard and then pasting the screenshot into a word processor. The "annotation" means that you should then write about what the screenshot shows. You are trying to describe what you did and how you did it. Describe the features of the software that you used and why/how you used those features.

Do you suggest any good tool for sending out annotated screenshots?

Yes, we recommend AwesomeScreenshot.com as a resource to capture, annotate and share your screen.

What is the difference between jpg, gif and png?

JPEG is superior to GIF for storing full colour or grey scale images of realistic scenes such as scanned photographs and similar material. Continuous variation in colour will be represented better using JPEG. Sharp edges are not represented well in JPEG format.

GIF gives a better representation on images with only few distinct colours such as line drawings and simple cartoons. It gives a lossless and better compressed output. PNG was evolved from GIF and is superior as it has better compression and supports millions of colours.
